Lucent (NYSE:LU) starts talks for Metalink stake-paper (Reuters, 04/30/2000 11:44) JERUSALEM, April 30 (Reuters) - Lucent Technologies is in initial talks to acquire control of Israel's Metalink Ltd (NASDAQ:MTLK), the Globes financial newspaper said in its Sunday evening edition. Officials from both companies were not immediately available for comment. According to Globes, the two companies signed a non-disclosure agreement, a prerequisite for acquisition and investment talks.
