OT....Julie, I live in a small coastal town that won't likely see anything but the 56k service for a while....as much as I sympathize with you, you are living a much faster life than me (if that helps)....so I am jealous of your inadequate cable. :-)

That's not asking too much, is it? Seems like a reasonable meager request to me. You wonder sometimes, how hard could this be - it's not like you're asking for world peace or anything?... I've been fortunate with the connection status. I'm using cable service from Charter Pipeline - works very well better than 90% of the time. Unfortunately, my real job requires me to be gone from my access most of the time; can only check in on the market now and then during most daytime hours. Anyway... Bought some LQID on speculation that bulls will eventually win that war. Waiting on sidelines for LPTHA to get a better entry. Very optimistic on ADAP and OMKT. Has anyone noticed the rally in IAAC today? KT

How about CHINA? Now up 23% at 11 3/16. . .up 15 points from my call on Friday morning. . . Message 13518630 Our rotation into Genome Biotechs worked as well. . .up about 13% on the average. . .whereas the high-flier wireless we played last week are looking tired. Both INSP and AETH have been down most of morning. B2Bs doing well too today. . up around 10% on average. POCI looks interesting here. . . . not sure why the sudden volume.. . . perhaps someone here can post a report. I won't be doing much trading today, for personal reasons. . . Rande Is

JLS...datafeed problems...interested in the postings about this subject. I have a simple 56K phone connection thru my ISP, which is CAIS ( CAIS stock not doing great right now, LOL!!). Actually, for the price I pay...$130 a year...it doesn't sound like I have any worse problems than others do with cable hookups. CAIS lets me stay connected 24 hours a day as long as I keep my Outlook Express email open and checking mail every several minutes. I experience interruptions in Datek streamer feeds, which last only seconds or on some days are permanent unless I close browser and reboot. But based on what I see written here, a cable hookup may not be any better than what I have. In fact, our cable TV blows out at least once or twice every single day, so I'm not sure I want Cox Communications cable company also providing my Internet access. Perhaps 57K modems aren't so bad after all? Still learning...
