bill - I also have not sold any MSFT, and am sitting on a big LEAP position as well. I didn't think it would sink this low... I have gotten killed on short term option positions so now just doing '01 and '02 LEAPs.

I believe that once the uncertainty about this segment of the trial is past, and given the "robust" forecasts from the PC makers, especially around Win2K sales in second half, that the stock will come back to a new high, so a likely double from here by year end.

I know you are not a short term player, so if I was in your shoes I might even add here, it's like being in a time machine with the ability to go back to December of 1998 and buy. No question that the stock will come back, but it could drop some more near term when Judge Jackson puts out his ruling. I sure would not sell...

There is not much room for MSFT to go down further. At current price MSFT is only worth about $360 bln. If it is cut into half, maybe into MicroSys and OfficeSoft :-), each is worth $180 bln. They are small enough for other foreign companies to take over. Let's say NOK, which is worth $270 bln now, can just buy the system part and take it to euro, why bother with the anti-trust here. i guess it was bottomed on April 22 w/ huge trading volume, the rest is recovery.
