Anybody predicting the early demise of SONET should definitely read this article.

I am a little confused. I read that BCE traded with and without NT today. My guess is that if I was to unload the "old" BCE tomorrow, I would not get NT shares---of course that seems logical based upon the shares trading with the NT component.
My question was going to be when I would have to sell if I did not want the distribution.
Maybe I have answered my own question.<g>

I think the decision could also depend upon whether the shares are in RRSPs or margin accounts---tax consequences.

Maybe in this volatile market, it is better to hold both for some balance.

Of course my points really apply to Canadian holders of BCE stock. For Americans it is probably a non-factor.
