It just makes me wonder why in the world the justice department took on MSFT if nobody in the coutnry wants this battle! Sure, there are parties that want this battle: AOL (NSCP), SUNW, ORCL, .... Basically, the losers in head-to-head competition with MSFT. Their short-sighted view is that if the government suppresses MSFT then they can gain market share. They're either in denial that the government will stick its fat nose into all technology companies or they're very shrewd, believing that MSFT can be smashed and then before the government can wreck anyone else there'll be a change in administration so the DOJ & FTC will be told to back off.
