LRR, I'm not going to question what you say, but I still don't like the use of manufactured chemicals being used on anything I eat. I probably eat too much of the stuff that has been sprayed already. I worked on a wheat farm in 50, 51, and 52 which had bumper crops without the use of spraying. Not too long after that, they began the practice of "crop dusting" by those crazy young men in their flying machines. That farm belonged to my uncle and my cousin has taken over the farming of the land. He uses only minimal crop dusting but has not yet had a yield to compare with that of his father. Although I graduated from an Agricultural College, I didn't take Ag. All I can draw on for comment, is what I have seen through the years of visiting and helping with the harvest. That's not all that technical though, and doesn't require a college degree, or a bunch of, not so impressive, initials behind one's name. ~H~

I had two years of herbicide failure on butterprint (velvet leaf) in the bean fields. One ton of Molybdenum spread over 350 acres cured the problem.
