Joe,

Well, I have been to Holland, and the whole country stinks (literally). I am not sure why such a successful country in all the fields of commerce, industry and trade insists on producing more cow manure than probably any country on earth.

I'm from Flanders, Belgium, but situation here is more or less the same as in Holland. Ever thought why there is such an overproduction here? Because farmers want a decent income. This leads to overproduction with all his enviromental problems and is the dead of small farmers in the south of Europe (where high unemployment rates exist).

I know the laws of economics and know that that Bolivian farmer can produce a lot cheaper than here, and I have never stated he may not sell his products on our markets, I'm just saying it makes more sense to develop a better market there, without dumping our surplus and destroying the local markets.
