<<the glory days of flood control through watershed engineering.>>

That worked like a fucking charm. Blurb blurb.

LRR, My two sons and I are getting into our own organic farming, and starting to experiment with hydroponic growing too. Together, we have enough acreage to easily acommodate this and have been able to grow a number of quality veggies. We will be expanding more this year for variety.

All I know about agriculture in the 50s is that my uncle had great crops, as did the farmers we "custom cut" for. Back then the combines had no cabs, with stereos, air conditioning and such but, the grain was so pure, we could reach back into the harvested grain bin, grab a handful of wheat, and eat it raw.

I don't know what part of the country you live in, and am not asking, but I never heard of that Oxalis stuff. The beauty of the Saint Augustine grass we have is that, by plentiful watering, it will grow so lush, that it will smother any weed that tries to grow among it. The only thing we have to be careful with is to make sure it doesn't get too lush, or it will smother itself. ~H~
