Thanks for those links. They go directly into the mindset of the far-out(of touch) fringe.

The profoundly wacky right now tries to strengthen their laughable contention that Elian was abandoned with the shrill declaration that the child is also a 'bastard'.

Whatever.

Here, gnash your teeth one mo time. Sorry, but the story behind the following link contains no talking points for bigots...no justification for stealing children. It's just old fashioned, unbiased (and extensive) reportage. nytimes.com

Please tell me how those articles you cite about "prebirth abandonment and the law" have any relevance when state and family courts do not have jurisdiction. This is a federal immigration case.

"To sum up American imperialsim" ... followed by six and a third lines of weak excuses, ad hominems, projectile vomiting of great chunks of arrogance.

How easily you dismiss your treachery and torture and murder and genocide.
"They didn't think like we told them to"
"They wanted back their stolen land and freedom but United Fruit et al said no"
"They didn't swallow whole Our definitions of Our Ism versus the Evil Isms"
"Sure we murdered and tortured, but it was in a good cause - Ours"

So much for your fine words of liberty.

Lest we forget - of the hundreds of thousands of CIA documents pertaining to their activities in the one tiny latino nation of Guatemala only 1400 have been 'declassified', and of those many of the most incriminating have had all specific identities of both murderers and murdered blacked out by the agency .... among those released with effective data for the historian, we find these - gwu.edu

Your Cradle of Liberty gave this man a medal for his services to the empire.
