Frank,

Great response to ole 49er. I hope s/he feels a little better about our gang after having seen your post. But I gotta mention that you really blew it on one count ...

In fact, it makes one wonder what constitutes a G&K innie or outtie in the first place!

You forgot to mention that a quick check of the belly button reveals quite a lot about that subject. :)

Thanks, Uncle Frank. I'll investigate your alternative "G&K search" suggestion courtesy of that helpful posting fellar. I'm not a trader either, but still use my old trader skillset to initiate my accumulation positions into the G's.

You will find that I'm NOT going to be a player/contributor to the "identify a new G in the making" phase...that crapshoot costs me sleep and doesn't make my money work the hardest for me.

For years, I've made good money adhering to an old adage I learned from my commodity brokerage days:
---the pro's get the first move,
---the awake and alert get the second leg up,
---and the suckers get the shaft on the third leg, i.e., when the "story or profit/cashflow/PE/PG/PS pix" changes.

So, you'll find me happy to wait until a Simian has been unequivocally identified. THEN I'll pick my accumulate spot and $CA till I've got my portfolio full of that chirpin' chimp.

RE: being an "innie"...I've read the book. That's how I found the thread in the first place, and HAVE been checkng in regulary for several months. Just haven't posted except to ask you that one "split" question a few zillion posts back.

But until you welcomed me, my "innie" status wasn't embraced by your herd. Nice to talk to the head stag again. Nice rack there atop your pate<gg>

All the best.

It is a bit ironic that the very attributes that make searching the G&K thread a source of investing strength, also makes it a weakness for some one looking to use the search capability.

I guess that is the benefit of being a regular lurker here instead of just dropping by.
