Why is it that whenever the market goes up, even if
just a bit, people start calling bears everything from
Lutherans to Lunatics?

LindyBill

You mention some abstract thoughts on the tech revolution and then digress into personal attacks, but what does any of it have to do with stock prices?
I offered some facts and referenced charts. You would be better informed to study the market as it exists istead of attacking messengers of research. A public service message.

It is also easy for bulls to scare people too, like when the Nasdaq was going parabolic north of 4000, and many bulls were out there scaring the investor that they "better get in now"! Forget about P/E's and the fact that many of the nas-junk stocks would never make one thin dime of profits, just hurry up and get in before it's too late! Yes, in fact, I would say that many perma-bulls are just as guilty if not more so than the perma-bears, because at least if you stay out of the market you still have your original cash position intact, probably in bonds, CD's or the money market, but if you bought the so-called "good quality high flyers" on their misguided bullish advice, you are now sitting with losses, in many cases, huge losses.....
