Number of Athlon in Q3 "will exceed 1.8 million, question is by how much.." You mean Q2, correct? 11. AMD HAS REACHED ESCAPE VELOCITY!!!!!! Looks like we are about to enter the Earth's orbit ($100). Mani, on the #2 point from the SH meeting: 3. Number of Athlon in Q3 "will exceed 1.8 million, question is by how much.. I think you mean Q2, right? We had 1.2 in Q1 so 1.8 would be a normal 50% progression. Then the intention is to DOUBLE Athlon (including Duron's) production to 3.6M Maybe they figure they can increase classic Athlon plus the few TBird's they make this quarter by 50% to reach 1.8M, but depending on how many Duron's are made in Q2, the total will be beyond that. Mani: Thanks for the succinct synopsis of the shareholders meeting... By the way, I saw on CNN on this tech Tuesday AM that John Garrety, the tech analyst for today, picked AMD as his no. 1 pick...I would add that it was also included in his top 3 picks when he was last on CNN January 17, 2000!
