how could I forget! --- Many of us have memories going back (way way way back) to the MUnix root race. Berkeley Unix (along with vi) was channeled by Bill Joy from soup to nuts in 36 hours. Ritchie and Thompson prior to that documented the original Polynesian MUnix after a spelunking adventure which took them from the base of Mt Shasta to the island of Kawaii via a lava tube under the Pacific Ocean. Subsequent to that, AT&T branded UNIX until it was liberated by certain forces inside the US Government during what has become known as the AT&T divestiture. Understandably, the liberation of Windows by the same forces is being met with scoffs and guffaws as nobody seems to WANT it liberated, but open standards is an important component of the fully ascended Lemurian network and well, the Lemurians also just have a great sense of humor. -JCJ
