One difference:

In 1990, the establishment did everything in its power to prevent Citicorp from failing. I would say quite the opposite is happening right now with gold.

Hi Ike,

Yes, during the RTC days banks were a great buy. Wells Fargo was my favorite since Wall Street was betting they were going to close the doors. I agree that some day gold will be more valuable than it is now. My hope is it will be in my life time. <ggg>

My interest in copper is Chile. I am looking to buy CH when it gets disseminated/trashed and copper is very important to this economy.

Does anyone have any idea why AU is not being bid up today. I am thinking about a 2nd third at these prices.
