el p, what's also noteworthy is that mutual fund cash levels are scraping along at 10-20 year lows...no-one has pulled money out of the market, they're only mindlessly rotating. so there's a big supply overhang, and very little cash to break a fall should one occur. likewise the NYSE short interest ratio is hovering near a 4 year low.
all this is particularly baffling in the light of inflation accelerating at a pace last seen ten years ago. one would expect people to get a bit worried by such a development...but no, they are extremely complacent.
