Precisely! Those who push detailed industrial policy are pushing fascist economics, although they may otherwise not deserve the label. Of course, there is some similarity with the way these matters were handled in social democratic regimes, like Sweden, but the underlying imperatives differed. In social democracies, social welfare was the goal. In fascist states, mobilization for national goals, including but not limited to military adventures, trumped social welfare....
