"US SEARCH.com Signs On Vice President of Web Development"

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 2000--US SEARCH.com (Nasdaq: SRCH), a leading provider of Internet-based information verification services, today announced it has hired Johnny Kessel as vice president of Web development. Kessel will serve as the company's conceptual Web architect, spearheading development of US SEARCH.com's high traffic, data intensive Web environment serving the B2B and B2C markets.

"Johnny brings a high level of technical knowledge and vision which will drive our company's Web presence," Brent Cohen, CEO and president, US SEARCH.com, said. Kessel previously was the North American consulting engineering director at ZLand.com, an application service provider (ASP) that enables small and mid-sized businesses to take their operations online. In this capacity, Kessel was responsible for the architecture and implementation of deadline sensitive custom applications.

Prior to ZLand.com, Kessel was the e-business director for Advanced Systems Applications & Products, a premier IBM business partner. In this post he handled the e-business consulting and development staff, partner development programs, partner relations as well as pre-sales, project planning and development.

Kessel holds a bachelor of science degree in economics and human resource management from the University of Cape Town in South Africa. He received a graduate diploma from Boston House College of Advertising in Cape Town, South Africa.
