This web-based client/server system allows radiology departments to quickly and affordably distribute information and images to specialists and referring physicians in remote locations, using hospital intranets or the internet. "The new viewer software will help physicians locate key images in a study quickly and then compare current studies with past ones using a split-screen interface," said Marcelo Lima, general manager of Distributed Medical Imaging and vice-president of Kodak's Health Imaging Division.
