New Kodak Distributed Medical Imaging Server Software Offers Improved Navigation, More Powerful Image Access

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 1--Eastman Kodak Company today announced a new release of software for the Kodak 1000 Distributed Medical Image Server and the Kodak Distributed Medical Image Web Viewer that offer improved patient list, navigation and image manipulation capabilities. This web-based client/server system allows radiology departments to quickly and affordably distribute information and images to specialists and referring physicians in remote locations, using hospital intranets or the internet.

"The new viewer software will help physicians locate key images in a study quickly and then compare current studies with past ones using a split-screen interface," said Marcelo Lima, general manager of Distributed Medical Imaging and vice-president of Kodak's Health Imaging Division. "These are just the latest improvements designed to help users make the best possible use of the system's distribution and archiving features." see ya'll at the top!

Greenberg also spent months at the SF Cronicle trashing AOL, which is now about 100X what it was when he was expressing his "opinion". I thought he knew what he was talking about. I don't any more.

What a caboose.
