Rodriguez Does Not Expect More OPEC Oil from June

CARACAS, May 2 (Reuters) - OPEC President and Venezuelan Oil Minister Ali Rodriguez said on Tuesday he did not expect the cartel to raise its output ceiling at its next ministerial meeting in June.

Asked in a television interview whether OPEC will increase production Rodriguez said the decision would be taken at the June 21 meeting, and added: "But I do not think there will be a decision to increase (production) for the moment."

Nine OPEC members agreed in March to boost production to cool down soaring prices and decided to hold an extra meeting in June ahead of the a scheduled September meeting before a heads of state summit in Caracas.

Rodriguez's views echoed comments made by fellow OPEC members Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE and Qatar.
