Looking at some of the headlines in today's Mercury News

1. Judge will ask Microsoft (defendant) to help define how
it should be punished. This should be a new precedent for
the ignorance of the law or the enlightened age that we live
in where the criminal picks the choices for a judge to pick
from. Beats Chinese torture, I'd say.

2. Op-Ed page uses Microsoft's return on invested capital
(88%, no less) as a measure of monopolistic pricing powers.
Next I am sure it will also do stock recommendations.
Wasn't one Dan Gillmor enough ?

No worries Jay Leno. Clinton goes away but the DOJ is still
there. And when the Courts are in recess, SJMN will still
be at your service.
