Yes and no.

I can clearly understand not spending capital on capacity that isn't needed, those are the decisions that boost eps and stock price. On the other hand, "We were delinquent", or we didn't anticipate the growth of the Internet, doesn't make up for the lost sales, or the stronger competition as a result of Intel's bad forecast.

Forecasting demand is an art, not a science. It's as bad to over-shoot as it is to under-shoot. Now I'm a little worried that they will over-build capacity.

But yes, I feel more comfortable after listening to the analyst meeting. Did you get a chance to listen to the re-play? If not, I would highly recommend that you invest the time.
