mark - I had heard of Foreigner - in fact, I think they play every so often in a club not far from my house, though I might be thinking of Foghat, who fall into the same category in my mind.

So I went to CDNow to listen to a few of their clips, and you're right - I did recognize a couple tunes. Perhaps from listening to Oldies stations on occasion, but IMO "Cold as Ice" is a great rock tune. Just never knew who did it.

An interesting band - founded by former members of Spooky Tooth and King Crimson, and Sheryl Crow is listed on the credits of one of their cd's.

Little revelations like that make my day. Thanks.

I knew the band's name and many of those songs,
but like you, couldn't necessarily put them together.
