No, it's nothing to do with his comments, it has exactly to do with your next statement.

I read a chronicle of L.E.s efforts to take Oracle out of it's doldrums in to the B2B, E.COM age. He came riding in to get his databases up to speed, (Oracle wasn't even using it's own software at the time), and he has apparently done a wonderful job at it.

The problem is that it appeared that things had gone downhill while he was off yachting and cycling around the world. Enjoying the exciting lifestyle he is known for.

My goal is to invest in companies for 5 to 10 years. Being a psychologist, I'm all too familiar with patterns of behavior. Will the previous pattern play out again over the next few years?

Like you say, when things are going well, which they are now, will the yacht beckon? Maybe he's learned a lesson, but I'm not chancing my investment dollars on it.
