BUSINESS WIRE - May 02, 2000 08:18
SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 2, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Premier Software Partner Continues to Create Rapid eBusiness Integration Solutions for Siebel eBusiness Applications

Active Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:ASWX), a leading provider of eBusiness infrastructure software products, today announced its support for Siebel eBusiness 2000, the comprehensive family of eBusiness applications software available from Siebel Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:SEBL), the world's leading provider of eBusiness applications software.

As a Siebel Premier Software Partner, Active Software will continue to support this level of successful integration for customers using Siebel eBusiness 2000.

Siebel EAI Integration with Siebel eBusiness 2000

In Siebel eBusiness 2000, Siebel eBusiness Application Integration (EAI) allows easier linking and use of enterprise application integration software products such as Active Software's ActiveWorks(TM) Integration System. This feature creates an open and extensible architecture within Siebel eBusiness 2000 that significantly reduces the cost of integrating to and from external systems, allowing Siebel customers and business partners to define custom integration solutions leveraging existing integration platforms such as Active Software's ActiveWorks.

The ActiveWorks Siebel Edition Adapter provides open connectivity to the entire suite of objects within the Siebel eBusiness Applications for easy integration. The ActiveWorks Adapter for Siebel eBusiness 2000 will embrace the Siebel EAI 2000 object structure within Siebel eBusiness 2000 to continue the enablement of rapid integration of Siebel eBusiness Applications to other enterprise application and to external business partners. The ActiveWorks Adapter for Siebel eBusiness 2000 will support any EAI integration objects in the platform, including industry specific extensions such as telecommunications customer and order objects for easy telecomm OSS integration.

"Active Software is pleased to support Siebel eBusiness 2000 and its enhanced EAI extensions. We will continue to work with Siebel Systems to provide joint customers with an eBusiness integration solution that rapidly integrates Siebel eBusiness 2000 with other applications that reside within and outside the enterprise," said Chet Kapoor, vice president, Business Development, Active Software.
