I hope that you do not act as judge and jury of this thread as to who is welcome and who is not. any thread on si for the public. no one owns it, not even the person(s) who started. I suggest that you do not motherhen this thread by telling people who and what are acceptable and what is not. calling "thread moron" seems acceptable to you if it is expressed by a certain person but not by another.

Sadly, there are many seasoned posters who have contributed in the past are now staying away. Do you wonder why? Or should we just blame the other person or do we look at the mirror and do a self-evaluation?

I am sorry to learn that you were in deep trouble during the market meltdown, but I hope you do not have a personal vendetta against a person who did not want to support your way of getting out of that trouble.

As I have said before, let there food fights which bring the best out of each person. Why do you have to come in between and act as a referee? If a person has a thin skin, let him/her learn to sharpen his/her skill in defending a certain position. Clamping down a food fight just put a lid to creativity. If I want a social club, i go to a thread that caters to that. if you want to make this a social club, change the title.
