"Dogmatic faithful" is a good term to raise here, though I doubt we would use it the same way. The few times I have followed BEARX I found it was pummeled in long markets and underperformed other bear funds in down markets. My conclusion was they lost the nerve to short high flyers. So I think they are a lousy way to play a bubble if that's where your "dogma" takes you. I do much better playing my own longs and shorts.
