I concur marginmike. I have not been around very long, but in my reading of market history, that is a "hedge" that I never understood. These traditional safe-havens get hit "less" than others, but they get hit nonetheless.

There's lots I don't get, but this one is right up there.

MM, LOL! in a way you are right...but remember '98? MO was the only Dow stock that went up throughout the turmoil.
