Hey Barbara.. Just giving you a hard time. I know its been rough the last few weeks for any trader let alone buy and hold traders like yourself. It makes you feel sick watching 200 dollar stocks drop to 40 or worse. I have taken a defensive stance on all buying for now. I was one of the fortunate ones in the drop because I didn't have a full plate going in. And I NEVER use margin overnight. I was taking a trip to Texas the week the bloodletting began, so I had sold off all questionable positions. Only had about 20% invested and still managed a 15K loss. But I'm still up about 45K on the year. Still, watched EXLN go from 27 to 7 and held it all the way, Then I sold it near the low because I couldn't stand looking at it anymore. Now its at 10.

The last two weeks have been a combination of fear and dissapointment. I cannot seem to get on the right side of a gap. Also, cant muster the courage to stick with my picks long enough for them to work. I bail the instant I see any resistance or I only trade a couple hundred shares. Never enough to really get the momentum and confidence back.

I know its all a function of the drop. I'm not really worried either. I know that there is opportunity each and every day and eventually, I will get back on track. Simply, I'm proud that I am still here. Just like you, I hate hearing about all the new millionaires created this last 6 months because I know that with a little more risk, I could be there to. But after last month, I'm happy with my performance. Not so much how much I made, but how little I gave back.

As far as WEBM.. Its the way the game is played now. Run-up to earnings and sell-off even if they are stellar. Best to sell into the strength and decide after the earnings are released whether to re-enter or not. You may miss a few points up, but it beats watching helplessly as you stock tanks AH.
