Actually, he'll recover very quickly. The incision is very very small and he is only in the hospital over night. From what I understand he isn't to sit too long for a couple of days and elephant wrestling is WAY out for the time being -but already he said the pain was gone. The incision hurts of course but that is nothing compared to nerve pain.

They didn't remove the disk, they shaved off the part that was herniated. A lamenectomy. No metal pieces.
