ASA with its big discount to NAV, small float and reasonable dividend is definitely a buy here..the stock is cheap, both in relative and absolute terms. of course it's also a more staid, conservative stock that doesn't move as wildly as it's underlying investments. but similar to all SA resource stocks, it is quick to raise dividends when its income rises. that's what i like so much about the SA miners generally...they try to give you money at every available opportunity. they haven't been infected by this modern disdain for dividends...
