Apollo, your reply is received in the spirit offered. However, an assurance that the next search engine DESTROYING survey will not be taken for another 6 to 12 months, at the exponential rate of growth possible as pointed out by another gent on this thread is indeed sobering. If you would additionally consider my valid points/and alternatives in a fuller way, you would see that all those respondents WOULD have their comments grouped together and NOT broken up by NON survey related in a matter of speaking postings. This would have considerable value to those wishing to study various respondents and their point and giggle "turkeys", yes? But, I guess the TWO things that strike me the most curious of the whole exercise in speaking up from my point of view on this thread are the following: Just because my voice is an "apparent" minority, does not make it less valid. American Presidents, mayors, governors and judical "sittees" are ALL elected by the minority voices and have been for years. It is all of us who DO speak up who make things happen, usually for the better. And secondly...and by far the most curious, while I appreaciate a thoughtful person who receives a communication and sifts through personal emotional REACTIONS to select an appropriate and thoughtful response, which I feel I HAVE received from you after a fashion, ...I find it extremely revealing ABOUT you that you felt it necessary to wait for "verbal to'ing and fro'ing" before you penned your response, i.e., felt the need to include your need for observing the ensuing tiny tidal wave, ...that you felt it needed to be even included as a criteria for replying. Do you always conduct a survey before you reply to any direct communication or are you capable of forming your own independent opinions before surveying those with "piles" and sarcastic barbs before feeling strong enough to respond? I'm willing to bet your "response" to this post from me will be something of a "lightning rod"...care to participate in that "surfacing of another survey?"<g> **************************** BTW, before you reject out of hand my claim to 'utter annihilation" of the G&K Thread Search Engine as I claim, did YOU by ANY CHANCE select say, ELON which figured so prominently in your "conclusions" and search for G&K thread comments about this stock just to see what happened? Basically nothing but "portfolio prattle" appears, when I can attest to the fact it was an active topic of discussion since your last November Survey. Care to "dispute" that finding of fact. So, if one, just for the sake of argument wishes to check G&K thread for the commentary for the last even 30 days re: ELON, your number one conclusion of "opps...money not well spent there, G&K folks" ...none of the reasons for picking ELON now show up. I would think, frankly, that those so very "interested" in your surveyed "conclusions" would want to be searching among the various postings on the G&K thread to try to find "what went wrong," "who the ELON cheerleaders were" that they are now hurting and offer condolences," or "wish to re-examine their posts for what were considered as the cheerleaders conclusions of "simian characteristics" ...basically to learn what went wrong so that it could be corrected, etc. Now, do you see the value of the G&K thread Search Engine that is now useless as tits on a boar hog for the forseable future, for those serious students of the market and G&K in particular. **************************** From where I sit, especially since I did NOT get caught up in your #1 Observation/ELON hyperbole and osmotic fever that spread from [closet momo?] posters on this thread that pose as G&Kers in order to stir emotional wallets and fleece and run, jacking that stock higher and higher w/out proper foundations to support that degree of entropy % ralley,... ...I'd think that discovering why the #1 pick went tits up recently would be of paramount importance to those claiming intense interest in your primary survey finding. This is just one VALID example of how DESTROYING the G&K Search Engine function has harmed your survey participants. Want more?OH and ONE MORE THING: I frankly do NOT care whether or not I come on strong, any more than I care what the color of your hair or eyes are. A person is a person is a person and no two of us are alike. However, the standard format offered by SI and subscribed to by the majority of us who post using this vehicle IS something the majority have agreed to use. I seriously doubt those who wish to respond to surveys, for example I'm one that hangs up on surveyors at my home, and don't see any need to be subjected to them or their myopic respondents via the internet--which is simply an extension of my phone when one gets right down to it -- ...would be in the least deterred by clicking through to your carefully worded, well-intentioned efforts on a companion thread of your designation. Selah.
