Buy and Hold theory has actually worked well in certain instances. I bought ORCL a year ago when everyone was downgrading it ... got it at 25 and 37. Sold off the shares at 25 for 10 points (duh!!) but kept the balance -- which have since split and have a price average of 17.50. Same with LU - got a few shares when it split from AT&T and bought more in the open market ... adjusted price is 12. So there are some instances where the buy and hold philosophy does pay off. But I guess it's with the old economy (although these are the old/new economy stocks).

I do have some WEBM and bought VERT today. I think these are enough B2B for me, although I agree that ARBA and CRMC are also great companies. WEBM and VERT are not stocks that I will keep indefinitely, like ORCL and LU ... but am hopeful that I can make some money on them over the next couple months IF and WHEN this market ever stops this merry-go-round we are on. We should probably invest in dramamine!
