Just a little tidbit. The strategy change is a direct result of the change in AT&T's control and the new extended agreements with cox and comcast. My interpretation of comments from IR is that ATHM is now in a secure position, which enables them to pursue a longer range growth strategy.

We all know that sooooooooooooooooo much of what passes for journalism is sensationalism, period. The belief is that without it you do not sell copy, attract readership, sell ad space or stay in business. It is not just a belief. It is reality. I once watched a PBS show that had two former editors from major newspapers being questioned by the public. Someone asked why negative and sensationalist stories seem to be the order of the day. One editor replied, and the other agreed, that journalism simply does not pay. He said look at Christian Science Monitor - they try to put a positive spin on things and are now almost bankrupt. They cited other papers that made the mistake of trying to print real journalism. All failed. Nobody wants to read it. People pay attention to what shocks them. We have simply not evolved far enough to create a vehicle that rewards journalism. Newspapers/TV are advertisers - the exact opposite of Journalist. News is an entertainment show based very loosely on current events and treated no different than the "Bozo The Clown" show. Viewers is all that matters. The truth does eventually make itself known but it takes time.
