RE: Maxim added to S&P 500.
About time too! Linear Tech was added last month. I think that financial performance of these two analog chip makers has finally gotten the attention of Wall St. It has been glaring obvious to me and the others of you who follow the analog sector of the chip stocks for the past 7 years. The most important thing a company can do is maximize it's return on equity and prevent the dilution of its stock shares. Maxim has had a very disciplined and conservative approach to this. It is finally paying off.

BTW: Maxim will add chip making capacity during the next 9 months capable of supporting $2-3 Billion in annual sales. Don't bet against them using every bit of this capacity!
