eBay's chairman plans to sell $63.6 mln in stock
WASHINGTON, May 3 (Reuters) - Pierre Omidyar, founder and chairman of auction site eBay Inc. (NasdaqNM:EBAY - news), plans to sell more than $63 million worth of the company's stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Omidyar, who is in his early 30s, is looking to sell 400,000 common shares that he acquired from eBay in August 1996, said the filing.

It showed that he has already sold about 300,000 shares for more than $46 million between Feb. 8-18.

He held more than 35 million shares of eBay as of April 1, according to the company's most recent proxy.

There was no immediate comment from the San Jose, Calif.-based company.

Its shares were down 2 to 141-3/8 on Nasdaq.
