Gary Johnson, the governor of New Mexico, fits the description.

Oh what I would give to see a pro-choice, pro-gun, anti-War on Drugs Republican

More harm than good has been accomplished in the misnamed War On Drugs. Not quite on the legalize bandwagon yet though.

The argument that drives me up the wall and makes me grind my teeth though is this:

[read in a nasally nya nya type voice] "I think we should legalize drugs. Then we can tax them."

Also, this (as 99.99% of all criminal matters ) is an issue for the States to deal with.

You are describing the (pre election) Jesse Ventura. Once he became governor though, the gun issue disappeared from his agenda and he started spending money like a drunken democrat. Still radical pro-abortion, anti-war on Drugs. Legal prostitution too ( if you're into that<g>).

How about an ok to the morning after pill, 1st trimester and the mother's health or radical deformation choice, pro-gun but tough on crime, ease off on drug users but nail the pushers Republican?
