Naive is the word...

"It would be very na‹ve to think Cisco?s next five years are going to be as rosy as the last five years," says John Armstrong, vice president and chief analyst at Dataquest, based in San Jose, Calif. "It?s going to be more difficult for Cisco to command high margins as it moves past its core enterprise market into the service-provider market."

There is no way in hell CSCO will have growth for the next five years any where near the growth they have had for the last five.

Dear Paul and all: You know, what irritates me about these "correspondents" is that they all seem to presume that CSCO with among the smartest minds in management are STUPID and dont consider all the angles when making decisions. I dont know which way margins are going, but I do know that any decision made considered that and its effects. Even if margin goes down that INCREMENTAL revenue may add it EARNINGS. And, isnt that what its all about? JDN
