I new you couldn"t resist, you keep this up Scott
Miller might show up :-)

Oh no....Scoot! You know what happened last time he showed up on SI..check out the GTIS thread in early 1998.

Hey we have nothing else
to do,except read ATVI's daily FUD, damn releases
cost money guys, nobody cares, save some money!!!

Haha!

One unique possibility that presents itself is an investment from an existing software publisher, such as Activision. "They would have to be in there with a non-voting share, and understand the business plan," says Wilson. "If they have a check and do not want to get involved in the day to day operations, it might happen, but I would rather take a billionaire's money over a publisher's any day."

Face it, it's priceless stuff! Do you think this is the deal they struck with TTWO?

"It happens in every industry where a few large companies are doing a bad job, or at least not as good a job as a few smart people could do," with the obvious implication being that Wilson thinks that g.o.d. will be the saving grace for the industry.

I guess he didn't realize the whole industry was going to be in the crapper.....on well.

I saw that ERTS beat the street by .02, but I take it they are selling somewhere "over the rainbow" on PS2 in their CC. Maybe I should listen in. I still can't believe that ATVI hasn't announced an earnings date.

Here's my favorite quote...from Ron Chaimowitz nonetheless.....who knew that guy was right about anything????

"High royalties accompanied by low sales isn't a successful formula."
--Ron Chaimowitz, CEO GT Interactive

Speaking of PR's:

e3.stomped.com

Crave Entertainment sent us an email detailing their Sega Dreamcast games they will be showing at E3 this year. The list includes a couple of PC ports: Soldier of Fortune and Starlancer: Here is the list of games:

[...]

Soldier of Fortune: Looking for a little international intrigue? Soldier of Fortune comes to the Sega Dreamcast system ready to deliver die-hard, killer-combat action. As deadly soldiers of fortune players will embark on insurgent operations in political
hotspots around the world. In this first-person shooter, you'll be able to pummel, toast, shred and incinerate hordes of enemies as you set out on a series of secret missions in one of the most explosive tours of duty in gaming history.

[...]

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater: The best gets better, with all new graphics and thousands instead of hundreds of polys, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater has never looked better, redefining the digital skateboarding experience, boasting the most fluid, detailed animation of any skating game to date. With an intuitive yet complex control scheme, major skaters, licenses, and the biggest name in pro skateboarding, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is a guaranteed success.

Wow, so it looks like the licensed the only two TRST games!
