I am on the phone to the insurance company!
We have just had the most phenomenal hailstorm I have ever seen.
There are literally PILES of peashaped iceballs everywhere--- the deck is covered in three inches of ice. And Ammo's new car- is all pockmarked!!!!!!!!!!!
I ran out with an umbrella to mine and tried to get in the car to see if I could save it- and ended up with the door almost shut and this giant sports umbrella sticking out. Then I ran over the PVC pipes trying to get into the garage. (So much for B flat) Had to stop because I ran into the riding mower- half in and half out- I grabbed a quilt and threw it over the back end- and I HAVE BRUISES!!! On my hands!!!! It was the most amazing natural event I've ever seen. You couldn't see across the street for the wind and the hail and then I guess the cold front that came with it made things all foggy.
Sirens started-- it was five o'clock traffic.
There was no hope of saving Ammo's car. He slid out with the umbrella at one point to hug it, but that was all he could do.
The water flooded over the drain that runs under the road and into our yard. We had a roaring river rushing through our property. Ammo was all excited and taking pictures while I screamed for no reason. The pool - which we had worked so hard on all weekend!-- was overflowing and you could have surfed on the waves, I swear!
Then the strangest thing- it was still hailing and the sun came out.
AFter it was over, we went out front and there were two ducks, a beautiful Mallard and his wife, strolling along our yard. They must have sailed in on the river.
