I noticed the drop in NOVL too.
It had been as high as the 40's recently.
It looks like a good buy after this shakeout.

What the public doesn't know is that the vast majority
of larger enterprises and organizations use Novell as their network OS. I don't think its going away anytime soon, no matter what Bill @ Microsoft would like.
Personally, most of my smaller business clients use Windows NT as their OS. It's much easier to administer but I don't think its as powerful as Novell is for the larger organizations. I used to deal with Novell alot more but have become rusty because of non-use. Have only one client now thats running Novell.
My new clients I usually steer towards Windows, mainly because of the ease of administration. With Novell you need at least one full-time person who knows what they're doing somewhat closeby. With Windows, a good user can do quite a bit on their own, or at least can be led through trouble easier. This is my main complaint with Novell, they have kept it quite difficult for the average user. It's probably one of the reasons why they have lost market share over the last several years.
