You're right, Allan, and that is the difficulty that many of us face, do we sit on the sidelines waiting for a good solid bottom, do we play the moves, or do we go short and get burned by the PPT. For me, right now, I am willing to gain a good, solid, respectable 6%+ while waiting for the tulips to bloom, even if that takes a very long time. Would go with gold, but I've been burned there as well. I suspect that when Joe Six Pack agrees with me, and begins pulling out of their 401s, the bottom will come pretty quickly, but it might be an ugly one.
