re I buy a stock expecting it will go down
I know the feeling, but you don't really: deep down you think it will go up or you wouldn't buy it. You just feel unlucky short term.
My funniest, not-funny experience was with shorting this month. Believe it or not, in this horrible market, the service I just subscribed to for a year, identified ten stocks to sell short and 8 of them went up. One doubled!!! If I'd bought it long I would have had a double, in a lousy market, in three weeks. Amazing.
I gave up and am out of all of them now and back to my gorillas and gorilla candidates. I'm tired.
