Hi Frank,

Whoops! Oh well. So much for "P." :-)

All I can add is that hey, there are any number of reasons any company might falter as we know. An ascendant label could obviously be rendered meaningless and null and void by some other technological emergence from elsewhere- a GTR self delineated risk, if I remember correctly. But, it could also be because of something as "benign" as a fire, tornado, hurricane, or terrorist bomb lifting a huge factory to...ascendancy heaven?

By the by, RE: Solitons. Anyone interested can probably easily find the links, but the little company called New Visual Entertainment(NVXE) which, last August I believe, claimed to offer a soliton based solution for giving us 50mbps service over copper, is still at it. A few months ago, they altered or further delineated their claims in a press release, which now has their soliton solution merely greatly extending the range of XDSL solutions- maybe to my house, what'd'ya think? The stock, which had run from under a dime to briefly over a dollar last fall, had fallen to fifty cents after a while, but topped out at over 5 bucks on the above more recent news. They are said to be readying deals. Now if I could just verify, in my own opinion, that this tech. is real and way beyond other DSL extending solutions of the moment, I might label it "ascendant" myself.

Freedom works,

Dan B
