Qualcomm is not going to suggest that until the data transmission capabilities of Globalstar are in place. But ultimately I see Globalstar-based product to differentiate from the Omnitracs product. Isn't Qualcom using the Orbcomm LEO system currently to offer "trailertrack" right now?

I read somewhere (dont recall where) that QCOM was planning on adding G* to their Omnitracs offerring. Omnitracs currently does not have voice capability. Adding G* to Omnitracs would add voice, fax and internet capability which would make the service much more attractive.
