Value Line Arithmetic (VLE) hit a new 52-week high on Monday. I would think that the Value Line median P/E correlates more closely with the Value Line Geometric (XVG) since they give equal weight regardless of market cap. It goes without saying that the two Value Line composite averages are at wide variance to each other. The S&P capitalization-weighted P/E is still around 25 for forward 2000 guesstimates, and corresponds better to the high VLE.
