It doesn't make any sense, but that's the way many funds and analysts call it.

Why do you see so many screaming buys when the market is at a high?

Same reason you see downgrades (they are too chicken to say "sell") when the market is at its lows.

Check it out for yourself.

I'm sorry my post was obtuse but I feel that analysts are usually to be disregarded. I have done very well going counter to analysts, within parameters that I have set. There is always some lead time depending on the volatility of the stock.

By all means, buy high and sell low only works when you don't have to worry about your job.

K., to add to your collection of it doesn't make sense memorabilia, here is another from a link on the y board, showing that Banc of America Securities' analyst Douglas S Shapiro reiterates a buy rating for HSAC with a year end target of 32.
