I have the preview pane enabled and prefer it that way because of the large number of emails I get Sapper I don't have a link for the info at the moment but a few weeks ago there were several warnings out about a virus or worm (don't remember which) that was executed when Outlook Express preview pane peeked inside to give you your preview. Be careful. Go to View/ Layout and remove checkmark in preview box to disable . I'll send the link if I find it. tc
