Thanks KG4. I am sure everyone is a little skeptical of the porchers. But who do you trust in this world? I have been reading these guys and gals since before the porch thread was even here. If you live life to paranoid then what life do you live. If any one of these people PM'd me for my number and address they could have it. It is all a matter of who you trust and why. Who knows how people will act...that is part of the fun for me since I have never met any of these people in person. They could all be from a genius third grade class for all I know!! Anyway thanks for thinking about our safety. Just shows the type of person you are. I think I took more risk in Jamaica driving with them on there roads!!! A nightmare I tell ya....

Hi Keith

I think your concerns are valid and thank you for expressing them. There are a lot of crazies out there, no question. They're on the highways, they're in our school yards and they're on the news every night.

I think we all have to maintain a general awareness of our surroundings and vulnerabilities at all times, and try not to become paranoid in the process.

Common sense plays a big part. Having said that, there are some things you can control and some things you can't and learning which is which will go a long way in achieving peace of mind.

Just my humble opinion.

Rose

Kieth, I'm sorry if my post to you had an air of belligerency, it was not meant to be communicated that way. Your concern is a valid one no doubt about it.

I happen to live with little fear for my life in regards to other people seeking to do harm to me. Why? Because it ain't worth the effort. I have a greater chance of having a heart attack, falling off a ladder or crashing in a plane on the way to Atlanta. The chances of being mowed down by some nut case are so remote its virtually incalculable. So why even ponder it?

I'm glad this issue is being addressed now - so far in advance. By the time we get to the party it will be a distant memory and we can all have fun finding lost golf balls.

Phones ringing, I gotta go. It's from the FBI they want to know why I keep two addresses?
I told them purely financial reasons.
Boy Tom! You're thorough! <ggg>

Tim

Speak ya mind on the porch any time ya want to. After all you are one of the old timers and appreciate your concern for your fellow porchers. We gonna be alright!
