Now Dave, let's keep the conversation civil. Remember back when the Vancouver version of Camino had those little problems, the AMD guys were very supportive of us Rambus longs as we suffered through the uncertainty, furious partners, lost market value, changed expectations and "egg on the face" embarrassment.

Seriously, I think you pointed out at one time last Fall that both AMD and Intel are pushing the technological envelope faster and further than ever. There is just not enough time to test and retest new product configurations before there is this "need to launch". (Blame marketing again you engineers!). Frankly, I am surprised when something like this does not surface anymore.

Also, because of the similarity of this problem to the Camino problem I guess we can once and for all declare that Camino was not a "rambus problem".

the AMD people sure are quiet

That is true. This boring routine of making 5-15% gains day after day on my AMD calls is lulling me into complacency.
