ok I'll agree that I like that one idea. But you can see that everywhere in nature. I saw enlightened self interest (before I read Ayn) when I did some work on ground squirrel "altruistic" behavior. That behavior wasn't altruistic- it was in the social interest of the ground squirrels to act in a way that appeared altruistic. I would never argue that she brings nothing to the party. Almost everyone has something to contribute. I just don't like her (and think she was a horrible excuse for a person), and for the most part find the way she wanted to implement her philosophy sucky. So perhaps we agree.
